shamika + carl: married:08.16.08

Photobucket
Brunch-time, Sunday garden wedding. I styled this wedding for the bride being given only her color scheme which included pinks, purples and platinum grey. Please note, these are photos I took (when I had time!) and I will do a full recap of this wedding with professional photos and vendor run down soon:)

For this brunch-time wedding, I really wanted to capture the time of the day and built everything around that. From the floral to the sparklies that provided a backdrop from the pergola, to the incorporation of airy branches-- everything about this wedding was light/airy and fresh. Instead of a full bar, we provided mimosas for cocktails--a brunch staple.

Even though this was an early afternoon event, the couple still wanted to have a PARTY...so we accomplished that with low lighting and mood lighting in the reception space. More pics to come.

Thanks Shamika and Carl for allowing me to be a part of your day and bring your vision to life! Have a great time in Mexico!

Delicious Theming in Miami

Normally, I don't like re-posting material from other blogs.
BUT, I had to share this Miami wedding of the friend of one of my hubby's friends!
It is from the fabulous blog of Candidly Elegant Photography.
The stunning decor and coordination for the wedding was done by Designs by Guerdy.
I think this is a quintessential example of inspired theming PERFECTLY done. It is beautiful, well thought out and not overdone.
Please enjoy the super eye candy of Erin and Gavin's wedding and be inspired!
